The curse of the Princess must be hidden from the public. To do deeds for the Royal, both heroic and dark, the Mage, the hawk, and the swordsman need to remain anonymous.

But a Master Mage has a compulsion. He is driven to help free the magic of those distressed by enchantment. What the Earth, Wind, and Fire Mages do with the magic, depends on their personalities.

The Mage depends on the swordsman to stand guard over his body when bonding with the hawk. But the bird-of-prey is not defenseless, for she has talons and an instinct for the hunt.

That instinct is what Mages require when dealing with Magic and the Rage of Intent.
